Zvika Krieger is the Director of Responsible Innovation at Facebook, in California. As the former Head of Technology Policy and Partnerships, at the World Economic Forum, Zvika served on the leadership team of the Forum’s Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in San Francisco. Zvika was formerly the U.S. Department of State’s first-ever Representative to Silicon Valley and Senior Advisor for Technology and Innovation, working with the tech sector on tackling global challenges and leading State Department policy and strategy formulation on emerging technology; created and led the State Department’s innovation lab in Washington DC; a senior adviser to then-Deputy Secretary of Defence Ashton Carter, Department of Defence; Senior Strategist, Office of the Secretary of Defence, where portfolios included climate change, Middle East strategy, innovation, and emerging technology; led the relaunch of the Center for Middle East Peace as Senior Vice-President.
